Renzo Ortega is an artist based in Carrboro, North Carolina. He received a BFA in painting from the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes del Peru (1999), and an MFA in painting from Hunter College (2014). His work has been exhibited in solo and group shows in the United States and Peru, as well as commissioned for public art projects and community murals. Recent solo exhibitions at TW Fine Art in Palm Beach in 2022, and LUMP Gallery in Raleigh, North Carolina in 2021. Ortega is also the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including a North Carolina Arts Council Fellowship, a Kossak Travel Grant and a Visiting Artist Residency at the Rubenstein Arts Center at Duke University.
