Joy Drury Cox is an artist and educator living in Carrboro, North Carolina. She has exhibited nationally and internationally since 2003 and is the author of three artist books: Stranger, Old Man and Sea, and Or, Some of the Whale. In 2019, her work was included in the Atlanta Biennial, and her most recent solo exhibition, Prone and Plumb, opened in March of 2020 at Asphodel Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Her works are included in various private and public collections, including the New York Public Library and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
