"Painting is my life's mission and a manifesto of the moving energy that keeps crossing frontiers, generating bonds, and creating communities that exist because of its members' physical presence, the information they carry within themselves, and the evolutionary process they experience. My artwork reflects an evolving intellectual and life experience influenced by the sociopolitical and geographical contexts. In Lima-Perú, where I grew up, the Andes' colors melt with urban gray chaos. I lived in New York for 16 years, surrounded by and interacting with a multi-cultural community. I now live in Carrboro, North Carolina, where the landscape view changed from urban to rural, transforming the colors of my palette. These transitions and displacements have influenced my work thematically and technically, constructing my identity. I embody freedom in the various styles that coexist in my paintings, ranging from patterns design, gestural expressionism, figurative to abstraction. I believe that painting is an infinite loop of life itself, a vast universe of artistic creation. Painting is a journey into infinity."
