Her conceptually layered work encompasses ideas surrounding domesticity, psychology and the pervading and historical trope of the memento mori. However, at the heart of Thomas' painting practice is an exploration of space and perspective, which, in the process of being distorted, flattened and manipulated, begins to "break apart and behave irrationally".
